Our team of professionals is available to provide support to all Position s.r.o. customers.
Any client with a valid Road Control Software Licence is entitled to customer support defined in the Software Licence agreement through e-mail support request or by filling in the Customer Support Form. Support is provided for FREE.
We are ready to assist you via e-mail. We will answer your questions within 72 hours on working days once the request is received.
Position s.r.o. working hours are: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 17:00 pm (GTM+1) except for the public holidays in the Czech Republic.

Getting started...
You need
- The product Road Control or Road Control Enterprise installed to your computer (trial version or the paid product).
- Internet connection.
Your first schedule
- Run the software Road Control.
- Go to the main menu and select the item Scheduling in the menu Road Control.
- The panel Road Control – Scheduling will open.
- In the tab Places, select the icon Add Place From Map and click on the map. You will add your depot that will be shown with an orange icon.
- You will add the places to be served (destinations) in exactly the same way (continue clicking). The places will be shown with green icons.
- In the tab Vehicles, you may add your vehicles by clicking on the icon Add Vehicle.
- Click the Calculate button, select the task name for a remote calculation in the cloud and then click the OK button.

- The tab Solution will display the list of the vehicles used and the paths assigned to the vehicles. Click on the selected vehicle and the detailed itinerary of the vehicle will be shown in the section Itinerary. All the paths are also shown on the map.
- You may save the schedule into a file. Select the item Save schedule as... in the menu Road Control.
- You may export the schedule as well, to a html form, for instance. Select the item Export to... in the menu Road Control.
- Congratulations. You have made your first calculation in Road Control!

Tips, How to proceed...
Adding a place
- Click on the map. You may add additional places from the map repeatedly by selecting the icon Add Place From Map in the panel Road Control – Scheduling.
- Search an address. Go to the main menu, choose the menu Search and select the item Search on map... The panel Search on map will open. You may search addresses, or for example postcodes / ZIP codes. Mark the search result and select the action (action button) Add to Road Control Schedule... You may search addresses directly in the panel Road Control – Scheduling. In the lower section of the panel, on the right side, there is the Add Place selection that enables you to search addresses.
- Open a schedule by selecting Open schedule… Select Open schedule in the menu Road Control.
Adding another depot
- Add another depot by clicking on the map while holding CTRL key down.
- Select a place and change the place type to depot in the Place Features. Place Features are available in the window Place Details. You may open the window by clicking the icon Details. Remember that you will need to assign vehicles to the depot you have selected. See Vehicle Features.
Import the exact addresses of your customers
You can easily import the places with the addresses to Road Control Software in *.csv or *.xls. format. If address information is included in the imported file, it is possible to use automatic address geocoding provided within the remote calculation service. After the task is sent for remote calculation, the service will automatically try to geocode all the places that have no coordinates.

- Once you have prepared your import file, process it by clicking the Road Control menu Import Schedule... Select the imported file and click OK.
- Your places will appear in the Road Control panel.
Default setting of vehicle features and place features
Do you want the newly added places and vehicles to have some features predefined by default settings (the time window of service you have defined, the service time etc. in the case of places; your working time or the capacity of your vehicles in the case of vehicles)? Select the required features in the window Place Details or in the window Vehicle Details respectively and check Use as defaults. Every added place or vehicle will automatically have these settings.

Batch change of vehicle features and place features
To change the features of multiple places or vehicles simultaneously, you may make use of the function Multiselect. Select the places or the vehicles by clicking on them and holding CTRL key down in the tab Places or in the tab Vehicles. Click the button Details and you will batch change the settings of all the places and vehicles you have selected.

If you have a regular customer base, it is not necessary to re-select the places and vehicles for each calculation repeatedly. First, select all your places (customers) and vehicles and save the schedule. In order to calculate the schedule for a subset of your customers, you may simply open this sample schedule, check the checkboxes of those places and vehicles the calculation will operate with and run the calculation.

Working with the map
- You may use the menu available right in the map window. It is accessible by right clicking anywhere on the map. It will allow you to zoom in/out, to use the pan tool and move the map or to quickly change the view to the maximum or minimum map scale (Max/Min Detail).
- Hold the cursor over the depot icon or the place icon (do not click). The icon Actions will appear. You may select the option Show in ‘Road Control – Scheduling’ panel or you may open the window Place details and change the settings.
